Intimacy Interrupted

in

Kids will be kids. Last Saturday night, the evening went perfect. Dinner clean up was easy, the girls went to bed on time and went right to sleep. We also went to bed too, only with a few candles lit in our room. I don't want to give too much information, we are all adults. It would have been perfect if not for one hiccup. In the middle of it all, there was knock on our locked door by our seven-year-old daughter, Charlotte. D#$%, said my husband. I got up, put on my robe and quickly escorted her back to bed. "I heard yelling and I thought you two were fighting." she said, (granted we had a heated conversation that morning over chores, but we resolved it). "No quite the opposite," I murmured. "Then what was all that noise?" she asked. "Nothing dear, go back to sleep," I said pulling the covers on her. I was sure she would ask about it in the morning. Thankfully, she did not. Has this happened to you? If so, how did you handle it?
