Trinity Lutheran School

Trinity Lutheran School is a ministry of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church established for the purpose of providing an education of the highest quality within a Christian environment. It is our mission to enable students, with the support of their families, to grow intellectually, emotionally, physically and spiritually, to develop moral values, discipline and courtesy, to learn respect for themselves, respect for others and respect for core human values. It is our mission to actively strive to be socially, racially and economically diverse. It is our mission to ensure that the leadership of the school consists of qualified personnel who maintain a close relationship among the church, school, family, and community, enabling students to achieve success and joy in life as productive citizens. Trinity Lutheran School is a private school located in the oldest historic areas in Newport News. The school is located along the James River in the Hampton Roads area of southeastern Virginia near Northrup Grumman Shipbuilding. Our community is bounded on one side by majestic Huntington Avenue, which overlooks the James River and takes you to the port areas of the city. Other communities that border the school are Suffolk, Smithfield, Carrollton, and Isle of Wight. Warwick Boulevard forms the eastern boundary, which leads to Huntington Park and beach, the War Museum, historic Hilton, and the world-renowned Mariners' Museum.
